East Longmeadow, MA (Sept 12, 2007) – A clean, show-ready appearance and stellar performances "leslielange"go hand-in-hand for the American Quarter Horse Association’s (AQHA) Professional Horsewoman of the Year and World Champion, Leslie Lange. In 2004, this recognized trainer, judge and clinician put her famous name behind Absorbine® products. Now, as W.F. Young, Inc. celebrates 115 years as a family-owned and operated company, Lange is proud to continue her long-standing relationship with the brand she trusts.

“Absorbine products are tried, tested and true,” said Lange. “After 115 years, W.F. Young, Inc. has proven credibility and established a trusted reputation in the industry. When we prepare a horse for the show ring, my clients and I can be sure that the products we use are safe and effective for our animals.”

Pursuing a career with horses was a natural choice and life-long progression for Lange. She was born and raised on a horse ranch in Colorado. Growing up, her family raised and showed registered Quarter horses. Today, Lange and her husband, Tom, own and operate T&L Quarter Horses, LLC, in Greeley, Colorado. They specialize in training all-around horses, as well as trail, western riding and hunter under saddle horses. The duo also coaches riders in the youth and amateur ranks.

“Leslie Lange is a professional horsewomen, a role model and leader for the stock horse world, as well as the equine industry as a whole,” said Tyler F. Young, President and CEO of W.F. Young, Inc. “We are thrilled to have her as a spokesperson for Absorbine products and welcome her support in helping us celebrate 115 years of continued growth and success in the industry.”

Absorbine products have been part of Lange’s daily regime for more than 20 years. Both Lange and her clients use a whole assortment of products, from grooming solutions to fly sprays, hoof care and supplements. Some grooming favorites include ShowSheen® Hair Polish and Detangler and Miracle Groom® for horses. For the show ring, she likes the Santa Fe™ All Natural Highlighter to accentuate the ears, eyes and muzzle. She also recommends Absorbine’s line of Hooflex® products for daily hoof care and DuraGuard® for fly protection.

“At our barn, we suggest Absorbine products because we believe that they are some of the most effective on the market,” said Lange. “My clients can trust that their horses will look show-ring ready every time out. We are honored and fortunate to be sponsored by Absorbine. However, even if we weren’t, we would still use their products.”

Lange is a very busy lady with many accomplishments to her name. She has trained horses professionally for 25 years. During that time, she has achieved multiple AQHA World Championship titles in Western and English classes. In addition, she has trained an AQHA/Bayer Select World Show Champion, many American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) World Champions, American Paint Horse Association (APHA) World Champions and International Buckskin Horse Association (IBHA) World Champions. She has coached customers to World Championship titles as well.

Even with all of these achievements, Lange believes her greatest accomplishment was being named the 2003 AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year.

“The Professional Horsewoman of the Year award is voted on by your peers and other professionals in the industry,” said Lange. “It means so much to have the respect of such outstanding and influential individuals.”

When Lange isn’t riding and showing, she is busy traveling the world as a judge for the AQHA and National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA). Also, she is a clinician for classes such as showmanship, horsemanship, trail, western riding and hunter under saddle. She serves as a National Director for the AQHA and NSBA, as well as Director for the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association. She is an active member of various other organizations, such as the APHA, the Appaloosa Horse Club and the National Reining Horse Association.

“I still have some goals,” said Lange. “Originally, just winning the “World” was a goal. However, now I would like to continue to learn and grow in my core events and coach our clients to their goals, and possibly branch out to other events, such as reining.”
