Digital Marketing Analyst (Level II)

The W.F. Young team is seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst (Level II) who will enhance our digital marketing efforts by helping develop digital strategies, planning for and measuring the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, zeroing in on the performance drivers of those campaigns, creating insights from the analytics, and making recommendations for optimizations.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of a business intelligence analyst, data guru, and marketer with an interest in helping animals.  Additionally, happy wearing multiple hats, a team-player with excellent analytical skills, the ability to problem solve, have positive energy, and a good sense of humor.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Uses data to present actionable insights and recommendations to inform digital marketing strategies
  • Supports efforts to diversify acquisition channels and build an omni-channel marketing engine
  • Works on cross-functional teams to plan and execute key digital marketing campaigns that align with business objectives
  • Helps forecast digital marketing budgets and manages campaigns against budgets and targets
  • Collaborates with marketing team to understand KPIs and develops corresponding measurement plans across all digital channels
  • Works with marketing team to ensure proper tracking and attribution on all tests and campaigns
  • Tests campaigns and identifies opportunities to increase performance and budget optimization
  • Tracks and reports against performance of all digital marketing efforts around campaign results, acquisition, customer engagement/retention, revenue, and lead generation
  • Performs in-depth analysis around audiences and attribution to drive recommendations and ROAS
  • Designs, builds, and maintains reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and analysis that are distributed to key stakeholders on a regular cadence
  • Suggests and develops processes and methodologies to automate reporting to improve efficiency
  • Monitors and analyzes digital media and marketing trends (i.e., best practices for PPC advertising, Amazon advertising, social media advertising, email marketing, etc.) and recommends how they can be used to help achieve company goals
  • Partners with the team to test and learn new digital media tactics.
  • Balances deep dive reporting with ad hoc requests


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data science, or relevant field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of digital advertising analytics experience, with a focus on business insights and strategic recommendations
  • Expertise in digital advertising/marketing attribution, measurement, and cross-channel measurement (Amazon, SEM, paid social, display, video, etc.)
  • Experience conceptualizing brand and marketing campaign measurement and optimization frameworks that help drive business impact and optimization of campaigns
  • Ability to use data and analytical techniques (e.g. campaign measuring, A/B testing, multivariate testing) to conduct marketing related analyses (marketing attribution & incremental lift, audience segmentation & profiling) to provide reports on campaign performance and actionable insights
  • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics and AdWords
  • Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Experience with analytical and reporting tools
  • Ability to work well individually and in a collaborative team environment Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to and multitask across multiple projects and effectively manage priorities
