Job Description Summary:

The eCommerce Specialist works collaboratively with the marketing team, the eCommerce Sales Manager, and the Operations Coordinator and is responsible for executing W.F. Young’s eCommerce strategies to drive brand awareness, brand engagement, and sales on key marketplaces, with a significant focus on Amazon. The e-Commerce Specialist is responsible for working with the internal W.F. Young team and W.F. Young’s external digital agency in the creation, optimization, advertisement, and support of W.F. Young’s storefronts and brands on eCommerce marketplaces. The e-Commerce Specialist is responsible for working with the internal W.F. Young team to coordinate product inventory, provide e-Commerce customer service, support the company’s brand and product protection strategies, and report on e-Commerce KPI’s.


Duties and Responsibilities:

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of product listings and detail pages with accurate content and assist with the optimization of product titles, descriptions, bullet points, and images to present product features effectively and maximize conversions across eCommerce marketplaces
  • Own process for managing new product launches and updates on Amazon
  • Monitor the optimization of product and keyword rankings on e-Commerce marketplaces
  • Maintain seller performance metrics by addressing customer and/or product issues, negative reviews, and buyer messages ensuring exemplary customer service is provided
  • Monitor brands and products to protect against unauthorized sellers and counterfeit products and act as needed
  • Monitor and assist in the enforcement of W.F. Young’s MAP policies.
  • Monitor marketplace fees and assist in opening cases to dispute discrepancies and request reimbursement
  • Conduct and report on research and analyses of the competitive landscape and latest marketplace trends


Other Duties:

  • Work with the eCommerce Sales Manager to support the eCommerce marketplace and overall eCommerce sales objectives of the company
  • Work with Operations Coordinator to monitor and coordinate inventory to ensure product in stock levels
  • Assist with the implementation of paid and organic advertising on e-Commerce marketplaces
  • Work with the Marketing Director, the eCommerce Sales Manager, and W.F. Young’s digital agency to develop and implement promotional plans
  • Utilize available software tools and participate in weekly e-Commerce team meetings to regularly report on promotional performance, KPI’s, and to recommend areas of opportunity
  • Make recommendations on and assist with the production of required images and assets needed for the creation and enhancement of product listings on e-Commerce marketplaces
  • Make recommendations for enhancing post-purchase and review programs
  • Offer insights and assist the marketing and sales teams with the evaluation of e-Commerce products and pricing plans
  • Offer insights and assist with the development of annual e-Commerce channel and marketing planning
  • Provide back-up to other marketing team members if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.



A minimum of two years’ experience in eCommerce marketing and marketplace listing tools

  • Experience with Amazon platform, Seller Central experience preferred
  • Experience with e-Commerce analytics and reporting
  • Experience in MAP implementation and enforcement
  • Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods environment is a plus
  • Ability to independently learn new tools/products/technology and make recommendations to stay up-to-date on trends to support the business
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment in a highly visible role
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, or Communications preferred or equivalent
    e-Commerce marketing experience
