Michael Morrissey’s Imperial Farms Wins Absorbine® Stall Safe® Tack Room Award

Wellington, FL – Grand Prix rider Michael Morrissey grew up in a horse show producing family, including his well-known great uncle Gene Mische who started the Winter Equestrian Festival in the ‘70s. Morrissey carried on the tradition of horse show success during the eighth week of the world class Winter Equestrian Festival, when his Imperial Farms made news by winning the Absorbine® Stall Safe® Tack Room Award.

Absorbine Stall Safe spotters recognized Morrissey’s farm, located in the permanent barns at WEF, for its comfortable living space and excellent set up for its horses. Even the barn’s poles were wrapped in blue material, matching the curtains and the barn’s color theme of navy blue, maroon and gray.

"It was nice to be recognized," Morrissey said. "Our barn uses Absorbine products and we like them a lot. They certainly have quality products."

As the only rider in an all equestrian management family, Morrissey started riding as a child and has gone on to compete in Grand Prix’s, including the prestigious American Invitational. Imperial Farms, which was started by Mische, is based out of Palmetto, Florida.

Throughout the WEF show circuit, the Stall Safe award has become a highly recognized and popular award. Farms with beautiful, yet functional, stabling areas have won the weekly award, a prize basket filled with Absorbine products. When the Stall Safe spotters walk the grounds in search of a stabling area that has discovered their inner equestrian interior decorator abilities, bystanders, riders and trainers hurry to see which farm has been selected.

In addition to Morrissey’s Imperial Farms winning the Stall Safe award, some of the farms to be recognized during the WEF show circuit include Skara Glen Stables, Market Street Farm, River Circle Farm, Carriage Hill Farms, Wrenwood Farms and Lionshare Farm. Each of the farms received an assortment of Absorbine products including Stall Safe, a disinfectant and sanitizer for stalls, stables, trailers and utensils.

Stall Safe, which has been shown to be effective in guarding against Equine Herpes Virus Type 1 and Equine Influenza A Virus, is an easy-to-use alternative to commonly used chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, iodine, and pine cleaners. In addition to its many benefits, Stall Safe comes with a hand pump that makes disinfecting stall walls a quick and easy process.
