Team Roper Brian Emery Wins Big with Absorbine® Myoplast® At National Team Roping League Finals

Jacksonville, FL – Team roper Brian Emery roped the big prize of the week during the National Team Roping League Finals recently when he won the Absorbine® prize basket thanks to a sponsorship from Absorbine Myoplast®. The finals, held at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, drew roping competitors from across the country with more than 2,000 teams competing.

"The Absorbine Myoplast prize basket was a huge hit at the Finals," said Mandy Wolfe of the NTRL. "The basket was in the office and the ropers had to come in and put their names in a jar to be part of the Absorbine drawing. I believe all of the ropers came in and put their name in to try and win the basket."

Emery, of Bristol, Tennessee, was the lucky winner of the Absorbine Myoplast basket when the names were drawn. "The ropers were very excited because Absorbine is a product they are all familiar with. Many of them grew up using Absorbine liniment so everyone was hoping they would win," Wolfe said. "We are really grateful to Absorbine Myoplast for sponsoring our Finals."

The NTRL finals featured over 500 ropers representing 21 states. Ropers came from as far west as Arizona to as far north as New York to take part in the finals which featured a cash payout of $312,000 and a prize line of $125,000 for a grand total of $437,000 in prize money. "The NTRL Finals is the largest team roping event east of the Mississippi," Wolfe said.

Absorbine was pleased to sponsor the show and introduce riders to Absorbine Myoplast®, an amino acid supplement formulated to support muscle performance in horses. European champions have been using Myoplast, the number-one-selling muscle supplement in Germany and only available in Europe through veterinarians, for many years. Absorbine Myoplast is now sold in the United States and is available at local tack shops, in catalogs and feed stores.

"Riders in Europe have had great success with Myoplast and now riders in the United States are experiencing the benefits of the amino acid supplement. From ropers and reiners to jumpers and dressage riders, the supplement is beneficial for all performance horses," said Liz Cohen, Junior Brand Manager for Absorbine. "Roping horses are high performance athletes and Absorbine Myoplast was excited to sponsor their Finals."
