Laura Chapot And Little Big Mama Win Absorbine® Myoplast® 1.30m Award

Wellington, FL – The Absorbine® Myoplast® sponsored 1.30m division was dominated by top names during the first week of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. Laura Chapot and Little Big Mama were victorious in the timed first round of the 1.30m division, riding away with the coveted Absorbine Myoplast award.

Jimmy Torano aboard Pandoer and Georgina Bloomberg on James Doyle’s Skyline also won their classes in the Absorbine Myoplast 1.30m division. The Absorbine Myoplast award is given to the winner of the timed first round, which during the first week of the show circuit was Chapot on Little Big Mama. The mare is related to her famous Grand Prix horse Little Big Man and is owned by her mother Mary Chapot.

"It was a good round. I probably put in one less stride at each fence because her stride is so big. But I can go like that because I know I can trust her," Laura Chapot said said.

Laura Chapot was awarded a large grooming duffle filled to the brim with Absorbine products. She said she also plans on trying Absorbine Myoplast on several of her horses.

Myoplast is an amino acid supplement formulated to support muscle performance in horses. European champions have been using Myoplast, the number-one-selling muscle supplement in Germany and only available in Europe through veterinarians, for many years. Absorbine Myoplast is now sold in the United States and is available at local tack shops, in catalogs and feed stores.

Laura’s mom, as well as her famous father Frank Chapot, acted as her ground team during the Absorbine Myoplast sponsored class. "It was an exciting round, even watching it through a video viewfinder," Mary said.

Laura comes from a true equestrian family. Her father has been a key figure with the United States Equestrian Team, first as the youngest member of the 1956 Olympic team, and after five other Olympic appearances as a rider, he moved on to serve as Chef d’Equipe, helping the US Team attain their first Show Jumping team gold medal in the Olympic Games in 1984.

Excellence in horsemanship includes not only winning classes such as the 1.30m, but also extends to care in the barn. Laura said she was grateful for the large supply of Absorbine products she won, products that make caring for her horses that much easier.
